2009 Workshop Schedule

2009 is the second year of operation for Blooming Valley Retreat. Several retreats have been scheduled, and we are continuing to work with potential workshop presenters for more workshops. Blooming Valley Retreat is also available for small group activities, including board and staff retreats.


Blooming Valley Retreat is open only on the weekends indicated below. While we will schedule several group retreats for this year, we also want to offer the Blooming Valley experience to individuals and couples who want to have private time for reflection.

YOGA RETREAT WEEKEND

MAY 29-31: WEEKEND YOGA RETREAT WITH TRACY PIASECKI. TRACY IS A YOGA INSTRUCTOR  PRACTICING IN GRAND HAVEN.  THE WORKSHOP WILL INCLUDE INSTRUCTION ON ASTANGA YOGA, MASSAGE BY A CERTIFIED MASSAGE THERAPIST, SIX VEGETARIAN MEALS, AND PLENTY OF TIME FOR REST AND REFLECTION. HERBCRAFT WORKSHOP

JULY 24-26: JIM MCDONALD WILL PRESENT THIS FOUNDATIONAL HERBCRAFT CLASS THAT EXPLORES THE BASIC PRINCIPLES THAT GUIDE TRADITIONAL WESTERN HERBALISM: WHAT ARE THE ACTIONS BY WHICH HERBS WORK? HOW DO PLANTS COMMUNICATE TO US THROUGH OUR SENSES, AND HOW CAN WE LEARN HOW TO TAKE IN AND APPLY THIS INFORMATION IN A PRACTICAL AND SENSIBLE MANNER?
