Welcome to the Valley

Nestled in 40 acres of woods in Oceana County, Michigan, Blooming Valley Retreat offers individuals and small groups a sanctuary to reflect and recommit to common purpose.

Come for a weekend or a few days to reflect on personal and spiritual issues, reconnect with mind and body, or experience what a sustainable earth can look, feel, and taste like.

The Retreat includes a modern guesthouse, two beautiful, off-the-grid cabins in the woods, and a tapered-wall yurt for group meetings and workshops. Meals are served in our home, B&B style, and feature primarily local organic and vegetarian cuisine.

We offer programs for self-discovery and living more sustainably, accommodating groups of up to 8-10 people. We also invite individuals and couples to schedule personal retreat weekends on selected dates from May through October (see schedule of weekends available for reservations).

Our mission is to provide a sanctuary for social justice-minded people to escape the pressures of daily life and to renew their commitment to making a better world. Whether that commitment translates into personal growth or improving the functioning of an organization, we seek to assist those who are working toward a more sane and just world.

Our vision is to create a place where people can simplify their daily existence, focus on common values and interests, and consider ways of improving their lives and society at large.

We'd like to thank Jen Jorgensen for kindly providing the photography on this site.

2010 WORKSHOPS
Schedules/Registration

We are now working on the 2010 Workshop schedule, and we will be adding workshops as they are confirmed. We are working on a workshop on Compassionate Communication: Living with Presence with Ann McKnight, tentatively scheduled for late spring. We will also have at least one yoga workshop, another in our series of herbal medicine workshops, and other exciting events.

We welcome your ideas for additional workshops. Please contact us with your ideas and suggestions.
